Chocolate ball's recipe is very easy and can be made in minutes. Just mix up the ingredients and it will be ready and taste is soooo delicious. Its a treat for kids and
chocolate lovers.

Ingredients:


10 marie biscuits
1/4 cup cashew nut powder
1/4 cup almond powder
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1/2 cup khoya
2 tbsp cocoa powder 
2-3 tbsp milk( if required)
2 tbsp powdered  sugar

Method:


1. Make a fine powder of marie biscuits.

2. Add all ingredients in a big bowl and mix well.

3. Make a smooth dough, add milk if required.

4. Divide the into small equal portion.

5. Shape each portion into a ball.

6. Chocolate balls are ready.

Tips:



1. If you like you can roll chocolate balls into some desiccated coconut
    or colored sprinkles.

2. Few drops of vanilla essence can also be added to chocolate ball mixture.

Dudhi Muthia

(Dudhi Na Muthiya/Lauki Ke Muthiye)


Dudhi Muthia is one of the most popular dishes of Gujarati cuisine. This dish
made 
from a combination of flours, bottle gourd and spices.The tempering of
sesame seeds 
enhances the aroma and flavors of the Dudhi Muthia.

Dudhi Muthia can be used as a tea time snack, tiffin snack, for breakfast or even
for a light 
dinner. You can carry them along, while you are going for picnic. It tastes
good when served cold 
too. Dudhi Muthia is prepared with very less oil and is by
steaming. Moist and fluffy 
inside golden crispy outside,Dudhi Muthia is very easy
to cook. You can serve it with green 
coriander chutney, tomato sauce.

Ingredients: 


2 cup grated bottle gourd
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup semolina
1/4 cup millet flour
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp coriander leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp sesame seeds
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt to taste

For the tempering:


2 tbsp oil
8-10 curry leaves
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp sesame seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds

Method:


1. In a big bowl add wheat flour, semolina, millet flour, red chili powder, turmeric
    powder, cumin seeds, 
sesame seeds, baking soda, sugar, lemon juice and
    mix well.

2.  Squeeze out excess water from grated bottle gourd. keep this water aside.

3. Now add oil and mix well. Add grated bottle gourd,coriander leaves, mix well
    and make a soft dough by 
adding enough water. You can use the squeezed
    bottle gourd water.

4. Divide the dough in small equal portion. Grease your palms with some oil and
    shape each 
portion into cylindrical roll  approximately 4-5 inches long and 1 inch
    in diameter.

5. Likewise prepare muthias from rest of the portions as well.

6. Place the muthia over a greased sieve. Keep the muthia at some distance from
    one another 
as they will become puffy.

7. For steaming the muthia pour 3 cups of water in a vessel.

8. When water has started boiling and steam is formed, place the sieve over the
    vessel and cover 
it with a lid.

9. Steam muthias for 20 mins, after 20 mins turn off the flame. Let the muthias cool,

10. Now cut the muthias in small pieces.

11. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add cumin seeds,
     sesame seeds, curry leaves 
and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.

12. Now add muthia pieces, mix well so that the muthia are coated well with the
     masala and cook 
until they turn little crispy. 

13. Serve dudhi muthia with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.

Tips:


1. You can  also add chickpea flour (besan), makki ka atta in muthia dough.

2. Dudhi Muthia can be deep fried also.

3. You can can add ginger garlic paste if you like.

Dink & Dry Fruit Laddu  is an excellent sweet delicacy made of dink, ghee, almond,  pistachio, coconut, cashew nut, poppy seeds, kharik (dry dates), sugar and cardamom powder. These laddus are warm in nature and made in winters.

It is very healthy recipe as it has lots of ghee, dry fruits and edible gum which is very  good for giving strength and generating heat in body during winter season. these laddus are given to lactating mother as nutritious food and very healthy snacks option for growing kids and a perfect and healthy breakfast for working women.

Dink & Dry Fruit Laddus are generally consumed in morning with a glass of milk. You can give this Laddu to kids in breakfast or in there tiffin box. Kids love this and it’s good for their health. Its hard to include all variety of dry fruits daily in diet so this laddu is great way to have all dry fruits. 

Drink & Dry Fruit Laddus are very delicious and flavorful. These laddus can also be enjoyed by all age groups during winters or any special occasion.


Dink & Dry Fruit Laddu


Ingredients:


100 gms almond
100 gms cashew nut
100 gms poppy seeds
100 gms gond (edible gum)
50 gms dry coconut
50 gms kharik (dry dates) powder
50 gms pistachio
25 gms charoli
25 gms makhana (fox nut)
550 gms powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 cup ghee for frying edible gum
1 cup ghee for other dry fruits
1/2 cup melted ghee to make laddu

Method:


1. Grate dry coconut finely and keep it aside.

2. Roast the makhana for 2-3 mins and make fine powder.

3. Heat ghee in pan and add edible gum. The gum puffs up like small balloons.
    
take it out on a plate with the help of a spoon.

4. Once the edible gum gets cooled make a coarse powder out of it .

5. Make coarse powder of almond, pistachio, cashew nut, poppy seeds, charoli
    
6. Heat about 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, add almond roast it for 20-30 seconds, take it 
    out in a plate. Repeat same process with poppy seeds, cashew nut, pistachio,   
    charoli.

7. Now take a big bowl, add almond, poppy seeds, cashew nut, pistachio, kharik
    powder, charoli, dry coconut, makhana powder, cardamom, sugar and 1/2 cup
    melted ghee and mix well.

8. Divide the mixture in small and equal portions and make a laddu out of each
    portion.

9. Dink & dry Fruit Laddus are ready, store them in an air tight container.

Tips:


1. In place of powdered sugar you can use jaggery.

2. You can also add other nuts like walnuts, raisin etc.

Ingredients:


1/3 cup milk
1 cup milk powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp saffron soked in milk
1-2 tbsp pistachio chopped
1 tsp ghee

Method:


1. In a pan add ghee, now add milk and bring it to boil.

2. Add milk powder, mix it well and cook it till it become little dry.

3. Switch off the heat and let it cool. Mawa is ready to make pedas.

4. Now add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron & mix it well.

5. Divide the mawa in to small equal portions.

6. Shape each portion in peda, garnish with pistachio.

7. Soft, creamy Malai Pedas are ready for Diwali.

1. You can use other dry fruits like cashew nuts, almond, resin etc.

2. Condensed milk can also be used to make malai peda.

3. Malai pedas can be stored for a week in refrigerator.

(Vrat Ka Dahi Vada/ farali Dahi Vada)


Navratri is an auspicious Hindu festival celebrated all around the globe. Goddess Durga is worshiped with great devotion and faith during the festival. People worship Devi Durga, observe fast, perform Garba and Dandiya Raas. During fast different kind of falahari dishes are prepared like sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada, sabudana kheer, aloo tikki, sweet potato tikki, peanut laddu and many more.....

These are all traditional fasting recipes.......Would you like to eat dahi vada during fast.....i m posting the recipe of Falahari Dahi Vada,  made with sago, potato, singhara atta, curd, tamarind chutney. These yummy Falahari Dahi Vada can be consumed during fasts.


Falahari Dahi Vada


Ingredients:

For vada:


1 cup sago
1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 tsp red chilies
2 medium potatoes boiled & mashed
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp singhara flour
Oil to deep fry
Salt to taste

For Serving:


2 cup beaten curd
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red chili powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
1/2 cup tamarind chutney

Method:


1. Clean, wash and soak sago in 3/4 cup of water for 3-4 hours.

2. Roast peanuts till become golden.

3. Now peal them make a coarse powder out of it.

4. Add soaked sago, potatoes, peanuts, cumin seeds, red chili powder, salt,
    singhara flour and mix well.

5. Divide the mixture in to small equal portion a make small balls out of it.

6. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry balls till golden.

7. Remove the vadas on an absorbent paper.

8. Take beaten curd in a bowl, add salt, sugar, red chili powder and mix well.

9. Place 2-3 vadas in a bowl, pour dahi, tamarind chutney on it.

10. Sprinkle salt, red chili powder,cumin seed powder.

11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve chill.

1. You can use kattu/rajgira ka atta in place of singhara atta.

2. Green chili and ginger paste can also be used.
