Chocolate Modak


Ganesh Festival is incomplete without Modak. Modak is Lord Ganesh's favourit food. Chocolate Modak is a tasty and delicious variation of traditional modak. 

Chocolate modak is  simple and easy to prepare, everyone loves it specially kids. So
lets welcome 
Lord Ganesh with mouth watering and tempting Chocolate Modak.

Chocolate Modak



Ingredients:


10-12 marie biscuits
1/2 cup almond powder
1/2 cup milk powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp ghee


Method:


1. Make fine powder of marie biscuits, add powdered sugar, cocoa 
    powder, almond powder, milk powder and mix well.

2. Add milk, make a soft dough like chapatti and keep it aside.

3. Now take a modak mold and grease it with ghee.

4. Fill modak mold with chocolate mixture press it, modak is ready.

5. Repeat same with remaining mixture.

6. Chocolate modak is ready for this ganash festival.

Tips:


1. You can also use dry fruits like cashew nut, almond, walnut etc.

2. Modak's dough should not be very soft otherwise it will not
    give a 
good shape.

3. You can also use some choco chip as filling.

Dabeli

Dabeli


Dabeli or Kachchhi Dabeli is a very popular snack specially in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Dabeli is a popular street food. You can call it Indian burger.

This simple yet tasty dish is easy to prepare. Pav filled with spicy, tangy and
sweet potato, topped with 
peanuts, coconut, sev and fresh coriander......a must
try recipe.

Ingredients:


3-4 medium boiled and mashed potatoes
6-7 pav bread
4 tbsp khajur imli ki chutney
2 tbsp fresh grated coconut
2 tsp dabeli masala
3-4 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil
Pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste

To serve:


2 tbsp chopped coriander
2 tbsp fine sev
2 tbsp masala peanuts 
1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
2 tbsp fresh coconut chutney
2 tbsp fresh grated coconut
2 tbsp green chutney

Method:


1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chili powder, turmeric
    powder and mix well

2. Now add potato, dabeli masala, salt, grated coconut, khajur imli ki chutney
    and mix well.

3. Potato filling is ready.

3. Take a pav bread, slit it horizontally without cutting through.

4. Spread green chutney, coconut chutney, 1 tbsp potato filling on lower half of pav.

5. Now add peanuts, sev, grated coconut.

6. Garnish with chopped coriander, pomegranate seeds.

7. Press the pav slightly and serve.

Tips:


1. You can use garlic chutney and chopped onion for toppings.

2. You can also toast dabeli with a little butter.
