Sweet Vermicelli
( Meethi Seviyan )
Sweet Vermicelli or Meethi Seviyan is a delicious dessert made and served during festive occasion specially on Eid and Ramadan month. It has a rich sweet taste, easily cooked with the least effort and also less time consuming.
To prepare sweet vermicelli first vermicelli are roasted in ghee which gives it a nice aroma and taste milk.water, sugar and nuts are add to it. It can be served either warm or chilled.
Ingredients:
2 cup vermicelli
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
2-3 almond chopped
2-3 cashew nut chopped
2-3 pistachio chopped
2 tbsp ghee
Sugar to taste
Method:
1. Heat ghee in a pan add vermicelli and cook it till become golden in color.
2. Add water, milk, almond, cashew nut, pistachio and cook till vermicelli

4. Now add sugar, cardamom powder cook let it cook till it become thick.
5. Switch off and transfer it into a serving bowl.
6. Garnish with almond, cashew nut, pistachio and serve.
Tips:
1. Add sugar only when vermicelli is cooked.
2. Add nuts of your choice.
3. You can add saffron or food color to it.
4. Add water according to variety of vermicelli, if it is fine then add less
water and if thick add more water.
